Today the rytms of our life have become more frenetic and we have ended by lose certain sensations connected with the cycle of the seasons. The inspired Japanese designer Yasutoshi Mifune, has tried to re-propose their essence, being convinced that that design necessity and how a piece will relate with the people and their daily environment are more important than the visible elements, such as shape and material.

MILANO REPORT
Mr. Yasutoshi Mifune's lighting instruments "KIBAKO" series displayed at.Satellite. The wood box with the stowed size of 250 x 250 x 400 mm can be transformed to a light by lifting up the top panel and hanged down on the ceiling. It is to be used as an ambient light with shining the upper light on the lace-like translucent creamy white clothes. The rolled clothes can be expanded up to 2200 mm. The decoration of seasonal concept is brought up on the roll. It also has a sense of fun with the unpredictable transformation from a box to a column.

Yasutoshi Mifune is a Japanese designer and the creator of a very particular and original work which was exhibited at the Salone Satellite in Milan. The work is called Kibako, and it's a device for lighting which is capable of reproducing the feelings evoked by the changing four seasons, as they were once felt in Japanese culture.
